Roads Scholar Program

Roads Scholar training provides an opportunity for municipal employees to be trained by LTAP's professional team in the latest technologies and innovations through a series of workshops conducted at convenient locations throughout the Commonwealth.

The Roads Scholar workshops save municipalities tax dollars by providing up-to-date road and street maintenance information. There is no registration required to begin working toward your certificate. To receive your certificate, complete ten approved courses in a three-year period. It’s that easy! You can track your progress by logging in to your account, using the View My Schedule feature. Just clear out the start date and click on the search button.

PennDOT Mandated Flagger Training – Various dates in 2019

This instructor-led Flagger Training will be conducted for individuals who have flagging responsibilities on ANY ROAD OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Others who would benefit from this course include: utility companies working on low volume roads, law enforcement personnel, municipal managers and elected officials (to understand the importance, and for budgeting purposes). This course has been designed to meet the PennDOT Publication 408 flagger training requirements mandated for all flaggers in Pennsylvania. You can find training workshop dates and locations HERE.
 
PA One Call Workshops

Interested in learning more about excavation safety or how to properly mark your underground lines? Consider registering for no-cost PA One Call programs located in our area. To register, click on the workshop links below.

Environmentally Sensitive Maintenance (ESM) Training

Become certified with the Dirt, Gravel & Low Volume Road Program to help your municipality gain access to funds that will lead to better roads & cleaner streams. To register for upcoming 2-day ESM training, visit the PennState Center for Dirt and Gravel Road Studies website HERE. A session for municipalities in Columbia/Montour/Northumberland Counties will be held in Danville on October 30 & 31.
