 Freight Planning

SEDA-COG’s Freight Planning Program has served as a successful means for better integrating freight into the transportation planning and programming responsibilities of the SEDA-COG Metropolitan Planning Organization.  Though no longer actively convening, SEDA-COG benefited greatly from the assistance of its Freight Advisory Committee (FAC).  SEDA-COG continues to engage the freight community in the regional planning process (e.g., during long range plan development) and works to understand the needs, goals, and timeframes of freight interests, to improve the operating conditions for, and reliability of, goods movement.
