The SEDA-COG The need to reduce energy consumption and foster emerging renewable energy markets is a local, national, and worldwide challenge. Worldwide demand for fossil fuels will continue to outpace supply, thus significantly reducing the working capital available to our state and local governments, businesses and residents. “Uncapping” our state’s electricity rates between now and 2010 will create even greater financial hardships. Thus, energy conservation, always an environmentally beneficial practice, has become an economic imperative. The The emerging energy economy impacts everyone. NEW PROGRAM: Join businesses, manufacturers, local government, educators, and others for the Energizing Our Region monthly breakfast seminar series, to be held on the first Friday of each month from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Energizing Our Region seminars will focus on renewable and energy efficient technologies as well as energy demand management. Join your peers to network and gain expertise necessary to understand the economic and policy drivers of the new energy marketplace.
CONTINUING PROGRAM: The monthly Building Green breakfast seminar series continues, focusing on design and construction techniques associated with green buildings as well as their economic, energy-related, and environmental benefits. The monthly seminars are held on the third Thursday of each month, from 7:30-9:30am at locations across the SEDA-COG region.
