The SEDA-COG
Energy Resource Center

The need to reduce energy consumption and foster emerging renewable energy markets is a local, national, and worldwide challenge.  Worldwide demand for fossil fuels will continue to outpace supply, thus significantly reducing the working capital available to our state and local governments, businesses and residents.  “Uncapping” our state’s electricity rates between now and 2010 will create even greater financial hardships.  Thus, energy conservation, always an environmentally beneficial practice, has become an economic imperative.

The Energy Resource Center (ERC) promotes and facilitates the adoption and expansion of efficient and renewable energy technologies and expertise throughout the SEDA-COG 11 county region.  To this end, the ERC provides comprehensive outreach, training, and technical assistance to catalyze the adoption of efficient and renewable energy technologies in our region.

The emerging energy economy impacts everyone.  Financial and technical assistance information from various sources is available for homeowners, businesses, local governments, and school districts by clicking on the menu to your left.
