American Community Survey
The American Community Survey (ACS) is a new nationwide survey designed to provide communities a fresh look at how they are changing. The ACS replaces the long form in future censuses and is a critical element in the Census Bureau's reengineered 2010 census plan.
Now information on demographic, socio-economic and housing characteristics once available every 10 years is available annually for all areas through the American Community Survey (ACS).
