Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett will be honored by the
World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia (WTCGP)
for his continuing support of the World Trade PA program. In FY 2010-11, the program worked with 1,272 companies, generating $526 million in export sales and attracting 20 new investment projects which generated $159 million in the Commonwealth.
According to spokesmen for WTCGP, “Governor Corbett’s recent trade mission to France and Germany demonstrates his commitment to growing the Commonwealth's economy through trade and expanding global opportunities for Pennsylvania's companies.”
The Governor will be honored with the 2012 Global Business Leader Award at WTCGP’s World Trade Centers Day Dinner & 10th Anniversary Celebration, May 17. WTCGP’s annual dinner honors individuals and companies for their outstanding leadership and commitment to shaping the global future of the Greater Philadelphia region.
