SEDA-Council of Governments’ Flood Resiliency Program provides project-based flood mitigation assistance to communities both within and outside of the 11-county region.

Salary: $38,000 - $42,000 Excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance and paid vacation & sick leave. SEDA-Council of Governments’ Flood Resiliency Program provides project-based flood mitigation assistance to communities both within and outside of the 11-county region. This position will have primary responsibility to develop and implement Community Rating System (CRS) for numerous communities throughout the SEDA-COG region. The position will also assist the program staff in developing and implementing public works projects annually, using state and federal funds. Additional responsibilities include assuring compliance with federal and state contracts and regulations. Qualifications include strong analytical, public speaking, and grant writing skills, along with the ability to remain detail-focused, while managing numerous concurrent projects. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's Degree. Experience in GIS software, zoning, floodplain ordinance compliance, building codes, municipal governance is beneficial.
