Short Description

Body

Businesses can gain key insights into being compliant under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) at a workshop hosted by SEDA-Council of Governments’ (SEDA-COG) Export Development Program and Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC).

It will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 24 at 253 Transfer Road, Bellefonte.

The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Compliance workshop will provide participants with a solid understanding of compliance and responsibilities under the ITAR. The ITAR can be applicable to both exporting and non-exporting companies. It also will explain responsibilities in supporting their company’s compliance program from both perspectives.

Team Worldwide’s Bob Imbriani will present:

  • ITAR overview
  • Compliance responsibility
  • General export controls
  • Customer screening
  • Registration requirements
  • U.S. munitions list
  • Agreements, licensing, record keeping, and more

The fee is $75 and includes course materials, refreshments, and lunch. The registration deadline is April 17 at www.seda-cog.org/export.

For more information, contact SEDA-COG’s Noelle Long at 570-524-4491 or nlong@seda-cog.org.

SEDA-COG’s Export Development Program serves the businesses and communities of central Pennsylvania by encouraging and facilitating economic development through growth in world trade. It is funded by the state Department of Community & Economic Development’s Office of International Business Development and Partnerships for Regional Economic Performance.

SEDA-COG’s Procurement Technical Assistance Center is cosponsoring the event. The center helps companies explore and compete in the local, state, and federal government marketplace. For more information about the SEDA-COG Procurement Technical Assistance Center, visit www.seda-cog.org/ptac/.
