Short Description

Residents can apply for no-cost repairs

Jersey Shore Borough will be applying for a housing rehabilitation grant to pay for needed repairs to residents’ homes, and homeowners are encouraged to apply.

Eligible repairs include structural, roofing, plumbing, electrical, heating/furnace, window replacement, radon and lead-based paint mitigation, and energy-related improvements. Also included are modifications for mobility-impaired residents. There is no cost to homeowners who maintain home residence over a five-year period from the date of signing.

SEDA-Council of Governments (SEDA-COG) assists the borough in administering the grant, helps homeowners obtain a contractor, and assists in managing the construction project. SEDA-COG’s housing staff meet with homeowners to discuss repair needs and review program requirements. The housing team will inspect progress and deal with any issues that may arise during or after the rehabilitation process.

Interested homeowners may call SEDA-COG’s Sue Goddard at 800-326-9310.
