Short Description

Body

The Danville Borough Flood Resiliency Task Force will hold a flood insurance policy seminar at 6 p.m. Sept. 20 in the borough building, at 463 Mill St.

This education seminar will allow property owners to review their policy to ensure all information is correct and their home is properly insured against floods.

Accordingly, residents will learn what should be included on the flood insurance policy declaration page. Stetler Insurance Associates also will review the most common mistakes on flood insurance policies and answer questions.

The Flood Resiliency Task Force is composed of representatives from the real estate, banking and insurance industries, as well as residents and borough staff.

The task force has been meeting quarterly for the past year and has implemented several initiatives to educate and inform residents about flood insurance, risk and emergency preparedness. SEDA-Council of Governments (SEDA-COG) assisted borough council to designate a task force committee and has supported the efforts of the task force, including identifying deliverables. SEDA-COG staff will be in attendance.
