Short Description

Hear the latest on flood resiliency and natural gas efforts – and what’s next, plus much more, by SEDA-Council of Governments (SEDA-COG) on the Newsmakers show on WBRE and WYOU, hosted by Jayne Ann Bugda and Andy Mehalshick.

It features Bill Seigel, SEDA-COG’s assistant executive director; Teri Provost, who heads up SEDA-COG’s flood resiliency effort; and Don Kiel, executive director of the SEDA-COG Natural Gas Cooperative.

Along with his future vision, Seigel explains how SEDA-COG partners with local governments, businesses, and communities to help bolster the local economy and improve the quality of life. Seigel becomes SEDA-COG's executive director in October.

Provost describes how SEDA-COG is empowering local communities to combat flood-related issues and prepare for flood insurance reform through its flood resiliency effort.

The SEDA-COG Natural Gas Cooperative is facilitating a collaborative effort to increase natural gas access for farms, industries, businesses, and residences. Kiel speaks about the goals and benefits of the cooperative.

The episode will air at 6:30 a.m. on WYOU and 11:30 a.m. on WBRE on Oct. 8.
