HARRISBURG – Businesses have an opportunity to learn how to compete in the world’s largest marketplace – selling goods and services to the government – at a class taught by SEDA-COG Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) staff as part of the Procurement Expo & Forum at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex.

 

The Expo is Sept. 6 and 7, and early bird registration is due by July 31.

 

The class, “Positioning Your Company for Federal Government Business,” will help small businesses understand how to utilize the PTAC network to assist them in doing local, state and federal government business. 

Robert Brown, director of SEDA-COG’s PTAC, will give key insights on how to leverage third party certifications that position small businesses for the federal contracting arena.

 

SEDA-COG’s PTAC staff help businesses enter the government marketplace and provide marketing tips. Businesses new to this arena won’t have to reinvent the wheel with experienced PTAC staff guiding them.

 

Other presenters are Kristen Moyer of SEDA-COG’s PTAC and Clyde Stoltzfus, program director of the Southeast PA PTAC.

 

The Expo is a premier networking and educational event for public procurement decision-makers and suppliers. Public purchasing decision makers, end-users, and elected officials will have the opportunity to meet vendors, learn about trends in public procurement, and can attend more than 50 educational workshops, such as SEDA-COG’s. 

 

Exhibit opportunities are available for vendors wishing to showcase their products and services to local, school district, nonprofit, educational and state procurement decision-makers.
